Originally from Barcelona, David is a Spanish chef with international experience in the most prestigious restaurants around the world. His extensive experience and talent has brought him to some of the worlds top culinary cities such as Madrid, London, Miami, New York City before making Kuala Lumpur his home. Having worked under Michelin star chefs like Sergi Arola, Nobu Matsuhisa and companies like Ritz Carlton, Sheraton, Harrod´s….. David created Mercat to replicate the dynamic and convivial dinning scene that Barcelona´s tapas bars are justly famous for, making a cuisine inspired by traditional recipes with a contemporary approach, always respecting the essence of traditional flavors.
